All instructional classes meet at Rosenwald  community center, unless stated otherwise.  Preregistration required for all classes, but  participants may start any time.

Massanutten Resort’s License-To-Slide

The LTS program is geared toward skiers and snowboarders, first-timers through experts, who are looking for the best-valued package.  This program offers our local guests the option to purchase this package with or without lessons. Minimum age is 6 to be in the group lesson.  *All lessons in this package will be held on Thursdays, 7pm beginning January 5, 2017.  The first lesson is mandatory. Additional Information

Lunch-time Yoga

Join instructor Trish LaGrua to focus on the foundations of yoga... physical postures and conscious breath.  Yoga is good for the mind as well as the body and students of all levels will enjoy this Vinyasa (to flow) style practice.  Dress for movement and relaxation, and bring water and a yoga mat if you have one.

Cinnamon Buns

Cinn-sational Cinnamon Buns

Learn from the expert how to make these delicious treats at home. Sharon Munyak, owner of the family owned and operated Hobby Hill Farm in Powhatan, will share her secrets for making these incredible cinnamon rolls with or without nuts and dried fruits. Make sure you bring a container to class so you can take home some buns!

NRA Home Firearm Safety/Can You Survive 3 Seconds?

This course for safe gun handling is conducted in the classroom only. Students are taught NRA's three rules for safe gun handling, primary causes of firearms accidents, firearm parts, how to load & unload certain action types, ammunition components, cleaning, care, safe storage of firearms and ammunition and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports. Students will receive the NRA Home Firearm Safety handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, Course Completion Certificate. Safety comes before all else. This class will meet requirements for the Virginia Concealed Carry Permit. *Only individuals 21 and older can apply for the concealed Carry Permit.

Cheese Making : Mozzarella – Ricotta Cheese

Learn to make Mozzarella and Ricotta cheese in 30 minutes. In addition, class will cover instruction on how to incorporate fresh herbs and breads to enjoy at your table. Farm fresh dairy milk and/or store purchased milks will be used for fresh cheese made in class.

​Ballroom Dance Classes

 These classes will give you confidence, grace, and lots of enjoyment as you head out to the dance floor.  Learn (or brush up on) popular dances such as: the Foxtrot, Swing, Waltz, Cha-Cha and the Rumba.  Experienced instructor, Donald Dollins, will be offering two different level classes… one for beginners and another for intermediate dancers.   These are ongoing classes, and will continue as long as there is interest. Tai Chi for Beginners
