CAPSAW sponsored Valley VITA through it’s seventh season of operation for the 2016 tax filing season. We continue to grow at an astonishing pace, filing 17% more returns this year than last. Valley VITA collaborative partners include: Mary Baldwin University, the United Way of Greater Augusta, City of Staunton Recreation and Parks and IT departments, Stuarts Draft High School, Augusta County Schools and many others. 5,669 hours have been donated by community volunteers since 2010 saving community members $553,000 in filing fees resulting in a combined economic impact of $4.5 MILLION.
We will open for year round, appointment only, services beginning in August of 2017.
