Foundation Committee
The purpose of the Waynesboro Public Library Foundation Committee is to provide a means for the long-term advancement of the library. The Waynesboro Public Library Foundation, established in 2005, became a committee of the Friends of the Library in 2010. The committee volunteers are dedicated to cultivating individual, corporate, and community support to provide necessary funds for current and future goals.

The Waynesboro Public Library Foundation Committee is committed to:
  • Building an endowment to enhance future services
  • Raising funds to improve the existing building, including meeting ADA requirements for accessibility
Dedicated in 1969, the Waynesboro Public Library has continued to evolve to better serve the growing community. To help further library services in the coming years, please consider making a gift. Opportunities are available to make a donation now, through your planned estate, or an endowment providing the funding and name for certain library areas. Library Renovations
Thanks to support from the Friends of the Library, the latest renovations were completed in June 2012. However, there is still more work to be done on the building and grounds. Goals include renovating the adult side, closing 14th Street, creating an outdoor reading area, adding a drive through book drop, and keeping up with the latest trends in technology. Please continue to support the library.

The recent renovations brought most of the building up to date and made it user friendly. The project consolidated the local history collection, added a public stairway, internet cafe, and young adult room. The redesign also put the children's department on the same floor, added more room for foot traffic at the circulation desk, and gave staff new offices. Come enjoy the beautiful new space and find all the library has to offer.
