Consider adopting the minutes for the September 11, 2017 Regular Business Meeting, and dispense with the reading of the minutes.

Code Amendment – Chapter 98 Zoning:

Second consideration/adoption of an ordinance to amend Chapter 98 of the City Code, Zoning.

DuPont De Nemours and Co. Long-Term Easement:

 Hold a public hearing to receive public comments and consider introducing an ordinance granting E.I DuPont De Nemours and Co. (“DuPont”) a long-term easement over portions of the City’s property to allow DuPont to complete the Project on various banks of the South River.  
4.b.

Code Amendment – Disposition of Public Property; granting franchises:

Hold a public hearing to receive public comment and consider introducing an ordinance amending the City Code Section 2-102 Disposition of Public Property; granting franchises.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT:

5.a.

Tourism Initiatives and Trends:

Receive a presentation from the Director of Economic Development, Greg Hitchin, and the Assistant Director of Economic Development, Courtney Cranor, regarding Tourism initiatives and trends.
5.b.

Grow Waynesboro Program:

Receive a presentation from the Director of Economic Development, Greg Hitchin, and the Assistant Director of Economic Development, Courtney Cranor, regarding the Grow Waynesboro Program.

PLANNING AND GRANTS:

Applications for Grants:

Receive a report from the Director of Planning, Luke Juday, on various grant opportunities and the City’s intention to apply for certain grants.

ORDINANCES - Consider introducing the following:

Emergency Management:

Appropriating a grant from FEMA’s Local Emergency Management Program in the amount of $15,000 to Miscellaneous Project Grant expenditures in the Department of Emergency Management.

Disability and Aging Board for Independence:

Consider appointing nine individuals to the Disability and Aging Board for Independence.
