Approval of Minutes:

Consider adopting the minutes for the October 6, 2017 Business Work Session and the October 11, 2017 Regular Business Meeting, and dispense with the reading of the minutes.  

2.b.

Schools – Teacher Salaries and Benefits:

 Second consideration/adoption of an ordinance appropriating an ISAEP Grant, in the amount of $870, to the School Funds, for teacher salaries and benefits.

Schools – Stipends and Staff Development:

Second consideration/adoption of an ordinance appropriating a tiered system of supports (VTSS) PBIS State Grant, in the amount of $25,000, to the School Funds, to be used to support stipends and staff development.

Schools – Materials and Supplies:

Second consideration/adoption of an ordinance appropriating a Title III Immigrant Children and Youth Grant, in the amount of $3,102, to the School Funds for materials and supplies.

Schools – Teacher Salaries and Benefits:

Second consideration/adoption of an ordinance appropriating a Title III Limited English Proficient Grant, in the amount of $282, to the School Funds for teacher salaries and benefits.

Schools – Materials and Supplies:

Second consideration/adoption of an ordinance appropriating Title VI Flow Through Grant Funding, in the amount of $14,757, to the School Funds, for materials and supplies purchases.

Schools – Purchased Services:

Second consideration/adoption of an ordinance appropriating a Workplace Readiness Skills for the Commonwealth Grant, in the amount of $3,760, to the School Funds, for the purchase of purchased services.

Schools – Technology Software:

Second consideration/adoption of an ordinance appropriating a State Equipment Grant, in the amount of $9,522, to the school Funds, for the purchase of technology software.

Vector Industries 40 Year Easement:

 Hold a public hearing and consider introducing an ordinance granting Vector Industries Foundation, Inc., a 40-year easement access to the rear of certain real property located on Fairfax Avenue.

East Main Street Streetscape - Transportation Alternative Grant:

 Consider adopting a resolution of support for the East Main Street streetscape project.
5.b.

Blue Ridge Tunnel- Transportation Alternative Grant-Nelson County:

Consider adopting a resolution in support of Nelson County’s TAP application for Phase 3 of the Blue Ridge Tunnel and naming the City of Waynesboro as a co-applicant.
