  1. Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting

    An advisory body appointed to advise Council as to the park and recreational needs of the City. The Commission also provides advisory direction to the Parks and Recreation Department staff on related topics including the annual budget, general recreational programming and relationships with other private and public organizations, and park development and re-development issues. Meetings: Held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. except in November and December when they will be held on the third Thursday.     The Electoral Board is a three member board appointed by the Circuit Court Judges. It is responsible for the conduct of all elections. They print ballots, prepare voting machines and polling sites, and recruit and train all election officials. They are guided by State Board of Elections procedures and the Code of Virginia.
