The City Attorney, unless otherwise directed by Council, has the management, charge and control of all law business of the city, is the legal advisor to the mayor, council, city manager and the various departments of the city, and provides representation to them in litigation in state and federal court, as well as before various administrative agencies. The mission of the office of the City Attorney is to ensure that all City transactions are conducted in a legal and ethical manner.
