The Waynesboro Symphony Orchestra provides area musicians with an opportunity to perform orchestral music. It blends professional, student, and community players. All interested string players are eligible to play in the orchestra. Rehearsals are Tuesday, 7:00-9:00PM September through May. Concerts are scheduled throughout the year.

The Stonewall Brigade Band is the nation's oldest continuous community band. On June 28, 2001, the City of Staunton adopted a resolution naming the Gypsy Hill Park bandstand, "The Stonewall Brigade Bandstand".

Valley Music Academy

Valley Music Academy is a non-profit music school that serves the children of Waynesboro, Staunton, and Augusta County. Offerings include private instruction in voice, piano, brass, flute, violin, viola, cello, saxophone, clarinet, drums, as well as the Musikgarten program for young children and Valley Voices, a children's choir.
