Smoke Detector Program
| Purpose: |
To provide and install free smoke detectors to any resident of the City of Waynesboro requesting smoke detector assistance.

| Goal: |
To have 100% of homes and citizens protected by smoke detectors, and to increase the awareness of smoke detectors by educating the public about maintenance, testing and installation.

| Procedure: |
Any citizen of the City of Waynesboro may request smoke detector assistance either via phone, in person or the internet. The proper smoke detector request form must be completed with name, address and contact number. Recipient will be contacted to schedule a date and time for installation. (Smoke detectors will not be handed out, WFD must do the install.)

This program is not designed to replace the responsibility that landlords have to their renters to provide working smoke detectors. |
