Fire Prevention and Investigation - Code Enforcement (building inspections, hazard mitigation); Fire Cause Determination (cause and origin); Public Education (fire safety education, fire protection systems training); Plans Review.
Training - Ongoing Training (coordinate and deliver basic and specialty training, new employee orientation); Records and Planning (maintain training records, develop and oversee training budget, maintain department licenses and certifications); Emergency Response Support ( safety and logistic support at emergency incidents).
Administration - Personnel Management (recruitment, hiring and promoting, performance appraisals, scheduling, workplace rules and regulations); Records and Planning (department budget development and management, strategic and master planning, records and rosters, department goals and objectives); External and Public Relations (liaison with City Administration, City Council and other City departments, interaction with other emergency agencies, providing public information on fire department activities); Emergency Response Support (command and administrative support at emergency incidents).
