EMS Lieutenant

The Waynesboro First Aid Crew is seeking responsible, dependable applicants for the position of EMS Lieutenant. This position will be responsible for assisting in the day to day field operations of both career staff and volunteer staff of Waynesboro First Aid Crew. This position strategically manages scheduling and departmental operations to ensure the highest level of responsiveness, accountability, and long term viability of this agency. The EMS Supervisor will work closely with the surrounding County and the City of Waynesboro. The position works directly under the supervision of the Chief of the Waynesboro First Aid Crew. Interested candidates must have the following minimum qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED; supplemented by successful completion of EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic training program. Requires two (2) years of experience providing advance life support services; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the job.

- Must have a current certification in CPR, ACLS, EVOC II, EVOC III, Haz-Mat Operations, Vehicle Extrication, Incident Management Systems ICS 100, 200,700 & 800.

- Three to five years of EMS leadership experience.

- Familiarity with computer programs including Windows, Microsoft applications, and Image Trend, as well as experience with automated and computerized scheduling systems.

- Valid Virginia driver's license that is in good standing.

- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and background investigation.

Maintenance Supervisor - Water
Salary:$29,872
 

Public Works Operations: Recruiting for the position of Maintenance Supervisor to over see, supervise, and participate in the construction, maintenance, and repair of water lines and related fixtures.    Requires heavy lifting, stooping, climbing crawling, and use of general hand tools and specialized equipment.  Thorough knowledge in repair, operation, maintenance, rehabilitation and construction of facilities to which assigned as well as occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work.  Must have the ability to assign and supervise work; prepare reports, drawings and sketches; and prepare bill of materials. Requires knowledge, experience, and skills in the operation of backhoes, loaders, and related equipment. Must have the ability to prepare FY budget information and be dependable. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school, with considerable experience in the maintenance, operation, repair, and/or construction of public works and utilities facilities. Outreach Worker

Part-time Outreach Workers needed, to work on an as-needed basis, to support the programming of the Office on Youth. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in working with at risk youth, and demonstrate the ability to relate well with others. Outreach Worker's must be able to work flexible schedules including evening and weekend hours. Work may be performed in the Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta County area.  Duties may include, but are not limited to, work in the following program areas: Mentoring: Provide additional support to juvenile offenders on a weekly basis; Tutoring: Assist suspended middle and high school students with academic studies during school day.
