The Friends of the Library have a blog about library renovations. Go to
www.friendswpl.org/blog for pictures and updates.
Library renovations started May 31 and will continue through January 2012. The project architect is BCWH and the general contractor is C.L. Lewis & Compay. Work will start on the lower level then move to the main floor in the fall of 2011. A local history room, internet cafe and staff break room will be created on the lower level. On the main floor the circulation desk will be moved, the foyer changed, the chidlren's programming room relocated, and office area redone. A public stairway between the two floors will also be added. These drawings from BCWH architects give you an idea of how the renovations will look when complete.

Change for Children
Make a difference each time you collect a baby food jar full of change. Baby food jars are available at the front desk to take home, fill with change, empty into our big jar, and repeat as often as possible. Each jar emptied gets one chance in a drawing for like-new books from the Friends of the Library.
