Now you can renew your books or reserve library items online. You will need to have your card and PIN (Personal Identification Number).   

WAYNESBORO PUBLIC LIBRARY has joined Augusta County Library and Staunton Public Library as the VALLEY LIBRARIES CONNECTION. This cooperative allows library patrons to have one card for all three libraries and to access the three collections at the same time.

Here is how to renew your books: Click on My Account at the www.valleylibraries.org site. Enter your library card (barcode) number and PIN. If your barcode number has a letter on the end, capitalize the letter. Click on Submit Request.

Your address information, the list of items you have checked out, items you have on hold, and fines you owe are listed on this page. Check the small box to the left of the item you wish to renew. Click on Renew Checked Items at the bottom of the list. All eligible items will be renewed.

If you get a message that "One or more items cannot be renewed" -- all items selected may not have been renewed. Check due dates to verify.  

Please return these items on the due date. If you have questions, please call the library at 942-6746.

Here's how to reserve a book: Up to 20 items may now be placed on hold. Go to www.valleylibraries.org. In order to search for items, click on the Search or Browse or Combination button. Find the item that you are looking for and click on the Place Hold button. Or click on the title to view a full description, and then click on the HOLD REQUEST button at the top of the web page.

Enter your library card (barcode) number and PIN. If your number has a letter at the end, capitalize the letter. (If you wish the item sent to a library other than your home branch, make that change prior to clicking on submit request.)

Click on Submit Request. The screen will indicate whether or not the system has placed the hold.
