The City of Waynesboro Employees will be hosting their annual Virginia Blood Services Blood Drive for 2010 on June 10 & December 9 from 11am – 5pm. Due to renovations Waynesboro Public Library, the location will be announced prior to each drive. Remember: Someone’s life depends on you.

National Police Week events will be held in Washington D.C. from May 12 - 16, 2010. These events are to honor all “Peace Officers” that have died in the line of duty during 2009, and also to honor their “Survivors”.
In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a Presidential Proclamation that set aside May 15, of each year as National Peace Officers Memorial Day, and the week of May 15, as National Police Week. This will be a time of honoring, remembering, and healing.
