2010 Awards Officer Jeremy Johnson was presented with a Commendation Ribbon for most speeding citations issued for 2010. Officer Robbie Dean was presented with a Commendation Ribbon for most DUI/DUID arrest for 2010 Officer Amanda Hesson has been presented with a Life Saving Ribbon & Metal. On June 1st, 2010, Officer Hesson responded to a call for an unresponsive male. Upon arrival, she found a 35 year old male not breathing and without a pulse. She quickly instructed a bystander to assist and began CPR. Due to her quick actions, she were able to revive the subject. This effort directly contributed to his survival. Detective Sergeant Becky Moran was selected as the Police Departments “Employee of the Year” for 2010. Sgt. Moran has been with the department for 21 years and supervises the Investigation Division. She is also involved with the negotiation team, a lead instructor for CIT, a police instructor, and been involved with the honor guard. Recognition: RAHE Inc./McDonalds of Waynesboro has been awarded a certificate and plaque for their continued support of the police departments fundraising events and other endeavors.
