Located at 1405 Genicom Drive, off of Hopeman Parkway, Basic Park is open from Sunrise to sunset. The western boundary of this 18 acre park is the South River where anglers of all ages may test their skill at fishing for bass, bluegill, catfish, trout, etc. In addition to fishing, the park provides a nice setting for picnics and softball. Basic park has a newly renovated picnic shelter and also a softball field where adult softball leagues and tournaments can frequently be seen in play.
