Fishermen should take note that the South River is a good place to fish. Bass, perch, bluegill, catfish and even trout can be found within its waters. While fishing can be done at many spots along the river, Ridgeview Park also offers residents a fishing pier. Thanks to the Waynesboro Disability Services Board, and efforts led by Charlie Downs, this handicap-accessible pier helps to provide more people with the opportunity to fish. The pier is located near the River Shelter, and the tennis courts.
Don’t forget your fishing permit!
