Recyling The City of Waynesboro has a voluntary drop off program for recyclable items at our Public Convenience Center located off of Delphine Avenue and 6th Street. The Recycling Program diverts about 26% of residential, commercial & industrial products that would have otherwise gone into the landfill. Recycling can reduce by 75% the amount of trash that residents have to throw away. For your convenience, the Center is now open six days per week. Items Accepted Plastics Grades 1-7 are accepted. No plastic grocery bags allowed. Glass Green, Brown & Clear (food & drink containers only) Newspaper Including slicks & ads, magazines & catalogues Metal Any tin (vegetable, dog food, etc) Aluminum Any aluminum cans, pie tins, siding, etc. Cardboard Corrugated & paper board No wax-coated cardboard allowed No cardboard w/ food debris allowed (pizza boxes) Scrap Paper Computer, art, scratch, construction & school paper and envelopes & junk mail Used Motor Oil Used Antifreeze Dozen sized egg cartons Undamaged will be donated to Blue Ridge Area Food Bank Florescent Lights Recycling Center 300 N.
