Each year, young competitors in the Blue Ridge Soap Box Derby race down Main Street in hopes of winning this exciting race.

There are three divisions:

Stock cars are normally for beginners.
Super Stock are for slightly heavier racers.
Masters are for more experienced racers.

Champions from this race go on to compete in Akron, Ohio for the All-American weekend race.
