COVID-19: Facilities & Services

City events, programs, and gatherings held on City property are canceled until further notice.

  • City Council meetings have resumed; however, the Charles Yancey Municipal Building (City Hall) second floor remains closed to the public for all other business until further notice.  Read our City Council meeting fact sheet for more info on attending Council meetings during the pandemic. The Treasurer and the Commissioner of Revenue’s department located on the 1st floor are now providing counter service. The City encourages citizens to conduct business with the City—including utility bills payments—online or by telephone or email.  For assistance, call 540-942-6600.
  • The Public Works administration building is closed to the public, but staff is still available via phone at 540-942-6624 or by email at [email protected].
  • The Circuit Court and Clerk's offices remain open to address matters such as advisement of right to counsel, bond hearings, and emergency hearings. The Commonwealth Attorney’s office remains open, but citizens are asked to call the office at 540-942-6780 rather than coming in person. The courts remain under a declaration of judicial emergency due to the virus.
  • Waynesboro Public Library is open to the public. Meeting rooms, study rooms, Local history room, and the lower level of the library remain closed. The library is offering curbside service Monday through Friday. Learn more at https://www.waynesboro.va.us/354/Library.
