As of Wednesday, August 24th, 2022 the Registrar’s office will be located at 605 Market Street (Lower Level of the Waynesboro Library).

Noteworthy Dates

  • Friday, September 22, 2023 – Early voting begins
  • Monday, October 16, 2023 – Last day to register to vote in the November 2023 General Election
  • Saturday, October 28, 2023 – Office open for early voting
  • Saturday, November 4, 2023 – Office open for early voting. Last day to vote early.
  • Tuesday, November 7, 2023 – Election Day

The Office of the Voter Registrar provides Voter Registration Applications, receives applications, and processes them. A voter card is then mailed to the resident address of the voter.  All responsibilities are done under the supervision of State Board of Elections (SBE) and in accordance with the code and laws of Virginia as passed by the General Assembly. This office provides the following services to the community:

  • Aids the Board of Elections in preparations for all elections
  • Certifies candidates and election winners to the SBE
  • Checks petition signatures
  • Maintains the files of all election results
  • Maintains the registered voter's lists
  • Receives, checks, and stores all campaign finance reports
