Playground
Located between the bike path and the river, the creative playground provides fun for children year-round. This playground offers two sets of age-appropriate equipment as well as plenty of benches for caregivers to sit and watch, assuming they are not playing too.
War Memorial Pool
The 50-meter War Memorial Pool and bathhouse offers the perfect opportunity for all members of your family to cool off from Memorial Day to Mid August.
Fishing Pier
Fishermen should take note that the South River is a good place to fish. Bass, perch, bluegill, catfish, and even trout can be found within its waters. While fishing can be done at many spots along the river, Ridgeview Park also offers residents a fishing pier. Thanks to the Waynesboro Disability Services Board, and efforts led by Charlie Downs, this handicap-accessible pier helps to provide more people with the opportunity to fish. The pier is located near the River Shelter, and the tennis courts.
Don’t forget your fishing permit!
Soccer Fields
The soccer fields are located on the other side of the river at Ridgeview Park. Upon crossing the walk-bridge, one will find three different soccer fields. These fields are used as the primary home site for the Augusta Futbol Club and support Waynesboro’s numerous traveling soccer teams.
Tennis Courts
These reconstructed tennis courts were completed in the summer of 2008. The project was made possible, in part, by the United States Tennis Association. The courts are frequently used for lessons, league play, and are also available on a first come, first serve basis.
Ball Fields
Ridgeview is home to several athletic fields, including Little League, Babe Ruth, and Farm League baseball fields.
