All instructional classes meet at Rosenwald  community center, unless stated otherwise.  Preregistration required for all classes, but  participants may start any time.

Essential Oils
Therapeutic grade essentials oils are the ultimate in aromatherapy!  This class will teach about the possible health and emotional benefits, safe usage, and participants will get to take home a DIY essential oil project.  Instructor: Megan Collier, RN

Chronic Disease Self-Management Workshop

This free workshop is designed to lower the stress associated with chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, arthritis etc. and will complement and enhance your medical professional's recommended treatment plans. Participants will learn a variety of necessary day-to-day management skills needed to maintain and/or increase life’s activities in order to live active and fulfilling lives. Topics include:  goal setting, problem solving, managing fatigue, healthy eating, low impact exercising, communicating effectively with family, friends and your health care team. Plus Level Square Dancing

Learn-by-Doing Plus Level square dance course is starting soon! Instructor/Caller will be George Jordan from Staunton, along with assistance from members of the Circle 8 Square Dance Club. Completion of Basic/Mainstream levels a prerequisite. The course includes 15 individual progressive lessons.

Gentle Yoga

Join instructor Elle d’Orado to focus on the foundations of Yoga: comfortable postures & conscious breath.  Yoga is good for the mind as well as the body and students of all levels will enjoy this easeful, restorative  practice.  Dress for movement & relaxation; bring water & a yoga mat if you have one. Intro to Knitting & Crocheting

If you are a beginner, you can learn the basic stitches for both in one two hour class. Or, if you know the basics and simply need help with a pattern or project, bring it in for some assistance. Participants are welcome to bring their own yarn and needles, but it’s not required, as they will be provided to any students who need them. Instructor: Vickey Lawson
Stretch and Tone
Though geared toward seniors, anyone can benefit from this morning ex­ercise program which provides a good opportunity for toning up problem areas as well as a chance to meet new friends. Rubberbands and mats are furnished for your convenience!   Instructor:   Ann Hutchens
