Beginning Square Dance Lessons

Learn-by-Doing square dance lessons are starting soon! Two FREE open house introductory lessons will be held on Tuesday, Sept 18 and Sept 25. Come give it a try! If square dancing is for you, sign up for 15 progressive lessons for $80/ person. Family rates are available. No experience necessary, just come ready to dance, laugh, and have fun. Tai Chi

Tai Chi is an ancient form of martial arts that puts meditation into motion and encourages a practice of mindfulness and deep inner awareness. Through a consistent Tai Chi practice we are able to reduce stress, blood pressure, heart rate.  This lifetime art improves the functioning of our joints and assists with balance and stability. 

This class will be taught in a slow, controlled manner that exhibits the traditional fluidity of this style.  All adult ages and levels of experience are welcome.

This hi/low impact aerobics class can help you on your way to fitness by: burning fat, relieving stress, offering tips for weight reduction and much more.

Stretch and Tone
Though geared toward seniors, anyone can benefit from this morning exercise program which provides a good opportunity for toning up problem areas as well as a chance to meet new friends.  Mats are furnished for your convenience. Instructor: Ann Hutchens

Cheese-making : Mozzarella – Ricotta Cheese

Learn to make Mozzarella and Ricotta cheese in 30 minutes. In addition, class will cover instruction on how to incorporate fresh herbs and breads to enjoy at your table. Farm fresh dairy milk and/or store purchased milks will be used for fresh cheese made in class.

Artisan Bread

Artisan Bread making at home has never been easier. Let instructor Sharon Munyak, show you how to make artisan breads using a pizza stone, dutch oven and baking sheets. Each participant will receive a bread making vessel and two bread making kits of flour, salt, and yeast ($10 value included in the registration fee) that will make the best bread you have ever tasted. This dough can be made in advance and will store up to 10 days. And, it literally takes under 10 minutes to prepare!

Croissants are made from multiple layers of pastry. Learn how to make the dough, roll the dough, and cook the   finished product. Participants will make croissants and take home three flavors: sweet, savory, and buttery...and we all know there is nothing better than soft, buttery croissants!

Cake Pops

Do you know how to make those cute little cake pops you see everywhere? They are really trending now! Instructor Sharon Munyak, will guide you from start to finish as you learn how to make these popular pops. Starting from a previously baked cake, we will assemble and decorate them. Each person will take home cake pops made in the class.

In May 2017, Parks and Recreation began transitioning to an online registration system for the programs we offer. You should now start seeing links to register or view a catalog. The first time you register in this new system you will be required to set up an account. 
You will be able to sign into your account using your email address and a password or by using your existing Facebook or Google account. It is fast and easy.

The account will allow you to store your information as well as that of your other family members. This will allow you to easily sign up anyone in your family for the programs they desire with a click of a button. You will also be able to go into your account and verify the classes and times you selected and get instant access to your receipts.
