Citizens can request a copy of a record such as crash reports, dispatch events, police reports etc. that occurred in Waynesboro by submitting the Request for Record Form. This Form can be filled in, saved, then e-mailed to police@ci.waynesboro.va.us or printed and mailed by US Mail, or dropped off at the Department. The form can also be picked up at the Police Department. The Department will respond to all requests for records within 5 business days after receipt, and a $5 fee is charged per record. Details and instructions are on the form. You must have valid ID to receive some records.
