Water Resources on COVID-19

Yes, you bet our water is safe.
The $12 million water treatment plant first went online in April of 2009, and supplies safe, clean, potable water to the citizens and visitors of Waynesboro.

With over 9,000 connections, the staff is committed to providing the highest quality water which it receives from two wells and a fresh water spring. The water is filtered by a membrane (MF) micro-filtration system consisting of 256 modules with a design capacity of 6 MGD. Currently the facility produces around 2 MGD. The water is then disinfected with sodium hypochlorite, and fluoride is added before the water enters the distribution system. The distribution system consists of five gravity storage tanks and three pumping stations.

Our operations staff would love to meet you. The facility is available for tours and anyone just wanting to learn about our award winning water. Call us at 540-946-3754 to setup a facility tour.
