Submitting a Request
The current policy of the City of Waynesboro Fire Inspection Program is to perform inspections upon  requests, complaints, and mandated annuals. Although current policy is in effect this does not exempt any business from following local and national codes, or does current policy exempt any business from random inspections. It is the intent of this program to focus and work with business owners in an attempt to identify and mitigate any and all possible fire and safety hazards.

Below is a list of inspection request applications. These applications may be submitted to this office in three different ways:

1. Most preferable way is to fill an application out online, print a copy for your file, then save a copy to your computer and email this to Deputy Fire Marshal Tim Melton.
2. Fill out an online application, print two copies, one for your file, and hand deliver or mail second copy to:
   Waynesboro Fire Department
   300 W. Broad St.
   Waynesboro, VA 22980
3. Call Waynesboro Fire Department at 540-942-6730 during normal business hours and submit application.

Note: All inspection request applications and permit applications need to be submitted at least 10 days prior to inspection date for processing. You will be contacted once application is received for scheduling.
