Library Collections
We have built a well balanced collection of print and audio-visual materials for children and adults that includes downloadable audio books, and large print books. Our online resources provide access for researching the family tree, finding homework help, and links for job seekers. We also offer innovative educational and cultural programs for everyone. Daily story times, monthly concerts and movies, and Summer Reading Programs are a few of the wonderful activities that the library offers. WPL plays a major role in educating our citizens and improving the quality of life; let our dedicated team provide you quality professional library services with a smile!
Books
A total of 135,234 of books includes juvenile and adult fiction and non-fiction, large-print, juvenile Braille, and adult and juvenile books in other languages. E-books are also available to download via OverDrive and Freeding.
DVDs
You're sure to find something for your viewing pleasure in our collection of over 6,600 DVDs. New releases are available to put on hold (your name will be put on a waiting list). Certain new movies may also be checked out for one day with a late fine of $1 per day. Ask about Fast Traxx.
Magazines
About 78 subscriptions are available and back issues may be checked out. Plus, try out Zinio, our digital magazine service.
Playaway Views
Easy to use pre-loaded video players for children from PBS KIDS, National Geographic, TumbleBooks, Sesame Street and more.

Playaways (self-playing, pre-loaded digital players), are the newest addition to our collection of audiobooks. Books-on-CD and book-on-cassette are also available. In addition, audiobooks can be downloaded via OverDrive.

Need help starting a book club? Need ideas for your current club? WPL can help with a book club kit you can check out. Six copies of the book, discussion questions, and ideas on how to get a club started. Other kits will be added in the future. Try The Paris Wife by Paula McLain or Sophie: The Incredible True Adventures of the Castaway Dog by Emma Pearse.
Fast Traxx
A selection of popular books and DVDs are made available with a shorter checkout period to reduce wait time. Books may be checked out for one week and DVDs for one day, with no renewals. Late items are charged $1 per day.

Your pass to explore area points of interest is just a check-out away. This program offers discounts at the Waynesboro YMCA, The Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library & Birthplace, the Frontier Culture Museum, Waynesboro Golf & Games, P. Buckley Moss Gallery, Waynesboro Heritage Museum, Stitch Amour, Waynesboro Police & Fire Departments, the American Shakespeare Center, and Grand Caverns.
