PROCLAMATION – CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH:


Consider naming April, 2019 as Child Abuse Prevention Month in the City of Waynesboro, and present the proclamation to the Director of Central Shenandoah Valley Office on Youth.

WAYNESBORO SCHOOL BOARD FY20 BUDGET PRESENTATION:

Receive a presentation from Dr. Jeffrey Cassell, School Superintendent, regarding the Waynesboro City School Board Fiscal Year 2020 Budget.

APPROPRIATION ORDINANCES:

6.a.

Cost Allocation Plan:

Appropriating a portion of unassigned fund balance in the General Fund, in the amount of $20,000, to the General Fund, to fund a cost allocation plan for the City.
6.b.

Economic Development Tourism Grant:

 Appropriating a Virginia Tourism Corporation Grant in the amount of $13,738, to the General Fund, to reimburse for advertising expenditures in the Tourism Department.
6.c.

Economic Development – Façade Grants:

 Appropriating a portion of unassigned fund balance in the General Fund, in the amount of $8,386, to the General Fund, to increase the funding available for façade grants.
6.d.

Public Works – VDOT Street Maintenance – Paving:

Appropriating additional funding for VDOT street maintenance, in the amount of $111,569, to the General Fund, to increase the funding available for paving.

 Appropriating a portion of unassigned fund balance in the General Fund, in the amount of $20,000, to transfer to the Equipment Fund, to purchase a used replacement truck for Parks and Recreation.

Appropriating a portion of unassigned fund balance in the General Fund, in the amount of $45,000, to the General Fund, to fund a compensation study for the City.

Consult with legal counsel about actual litigation, where such consultation or briefing in open meeting would adversely affect the City’s negotiating or litigating posture, as authorized by sections 2.2-3711(A)(7) and 2.2-3711(A)(8) of the state code.  The subject matter of the meeting—and the litigation—is Waynesboro Village LLC.
