b.    Second consideration/adoption of an ordinance appropriating $7,580 from Restricted Fund balance to the General Fund, to enhance access control and security at the Gorsuch Building.

c.    Consider supporting a proclamation naming April 2023 as Child Abuse Prevention Month in the City of Waynesboro.

HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING AND CONSIDER INTRODUCING AN ORDINANCE REGARDING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT REQUEST TO ALLOW FOR A HAIR SALON AND SKINCARE CENTER AT THE RESIDENTIAL OFFICE DISTRICT AT 1305 13TH STREET, UNIT C2, WAYNESBORO VA, TAX MAP NO. 44-4-12-C2.

HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING AND CONSIDER INTRODUCING AN ORDINANCE REGARDING A REQUEST TO REZONE A PORTION OF THE PROPERTY AT 1930 ROSSER AVENUE, WAYNESBORO VA, TAX MAP NO 51-12-46 FROM PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT TO HIGHWAY BUSINESS.

HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE LOWERED TAX RATE FOR THE 2023 REASSESSMENT.

Consultation with legal counsel regarding specific legal matters requiring the provision of legal advice, as authorized by section 2.2-3711(A)(8) of the Virginia Code. The subject matters of the meeting are the Sheri Smith Estate and a matter termination of a City contract; and 

Discussion concerning a prospective business or industry or the expansion of an existing business or industry where no previous announcement has been made of the business’ or industry’s interest in locating or expanding its facilities in the community, as permitted by Virginia Code section 2.2-3711(A)(5); namely, a business which has indicated an interest in relocating to the City or expanding its operations within the City.
