September 10, 2018 Regular Business Meeting Minutes:

Consider approving and dispense with the reading of the minutes.
2.b.

Resolution - Council Meeting Reschedule:

Consider adopting a resolution rescheduling the October 8, 2018 Council Meeting to Wednesday, October 10, 2018 due to the Columbus Day holiday.   (R18-23)

Courthouse Security Upgrades ($7,315). (2018-66)

RESOLUTION – WAYNESBORO/AUGUSTA HEALTH FUNDING SERVICES:

Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement between the Virginia Department of Health and the City Council of Waynesboro for funding and services for the Waynesboro/Augusta Health Department. (R18-24)

RESOLUTION - LEGAL REPRESENTATION:

Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a retainer agreement for legal representation. (R18-25)

RESOLUTION - DECLARATION OF LOCAL EMERGENCY:

Consider adopting and rescinding a Declaration of a Local Emergency relating to the City’s emergency preparedness for Hurricane Florence. (R18-26)

7.

ORDINANCE – POLICE DEPARTMENT:Water Proofing and Sump Pump:

Consider introducing an ordinance appropriating a portion of the Government Facilities Maintenance Reserve, in the amount of $34,712, to the General Fund, for waterproofing and sump pump work at the Police Department.

ORDINANCES – SCHOOLS: Consider introducing the following ordinances:

a) Title III Immigrant Children & Youth Grant:  Appropriating a Title III Immigrant Children and Youth Grant, in the amount of $648, to the School Funds to be used to purchase materials and supplies for Wenonah Elementary School.

b) Inclusive Practice Partnership Grant:  Appropriating an Inclusive Practice Partnership grant, in the amount of $2,500 to the School Funds, to be used to purchase materials and supplies for Wenonah Elementary School.

c) Title III No Child Left Behind Grant:  Appropriating Title III No Child Left Behind Grant in the amount of $3,247, to the School Funds to be used to purchase materials and supplies.

d) Title VIB Preschool Special Education Grant:  Appropriating Title VIB Preschool Special Education Grant in the amount of $623, to the School Funds, to be used for instructional salaries.

e) Title VIB Special Education Grant:  Appropriating Title VIB Special Education Grant, in the amount of $53,344, to the School Funds, to be used for capital outlay purchased services, salaries, and materials.
