September 24, 2018 Regular Business Meeting Minutes:

Consider approving and dispense with the reading of the minutes.
2.b.

Second consideration/adoption of the following previously-introduced appropriation ordinances:

b) Police Department - Water Proofing and Sump Pump:  ($34,712)
c) Schools - Title III Immigrant Children & Youth Grant:  ($648)
d) Schools - Inclusive Practice Partnership Grant:  ($2,500)
e) Schools - Title III No Child Left Behind Grant:  ($3,247)
f) Schools - Title VIB Preschool Special Education Grant:  ($623)
g) Schools - Title VIB Special Education Grant:  ($53,344)

RESOLUTION – IMAGINE A DAY WITHOUT WATER CAMPAIGN:

Consider adopting a resolution recognizing “Imagine a Day Without Water” Day supported by the National Value of Water Campaign and the Waynesboro Department of Public Works.

5.

RESOLUTION – TEMPORARY LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH DUPONT:

Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a Temporary License Agreement authorizing E.I. DuPont De Nemours Company to undertake and complete remediation work on public property.

RESOLUTION - PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX RELIEF ACT (PPTRA) FOR 2018:

Consider adopting a resolution establishing the Personal Property Tax Relief Act (PPTRA) rate of relief of 49% for calendar year 2018.

APPLICATION – 2018 CHRISTMAS PARADE:

Consider approving an application from the Parks and Recreation Department to close designated streets and for amplified sound on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 3:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. for the annual Downtown Christmas Parade.

ORDINANCE – $4 FOR LIFE FUNDS:

Consider introducing an ordinance appropriating $19,931 of State Categorical $4-For-Life Funds to the General Fund, for pass-through to the Waynesboro First Aid Crew.

9.

ORDINANCE – EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS:

Consider introducing an ordinance appropriating a grant from FEMA’s Local Emergency Management Program in the amount of $7,500 to the General Fund for VEOCI Incident Management Software.

10.

ORDINANCE – EQUIPMENT PURCHASE FOR CEMETERY OPERATIONS:

Consider introducing an ordinance appropriating a portion of the Government Equipment Replacement Reserve, in the amount of $53,766, to the General Fund, for transfer to the Fleet Fund for the purchase of a replacement dump truck for the Cemetery.

ORDINANCE – PARKING LOT REPAIR 301 W. MAIN STREET:

Consider introducing an ordinance appropriating $6,000 from the Governmental Facility Reserve to the General Fund to repair the parking lot at 301 W. Main Street, Economic Development and Tourism Offices.
