October 10, 2018 Regular Business Meeting Minutes:

Consider approving and dispense with the reading of the minutes.

Fiscal Year 2020 Budget Calendar:

Consider affirming the Fiscal Year 2020 Budget Calendar.

Second consideration/adoption of the following previously-introduced appropriation ordinances:

c) $4 for Life Funds for Waynesboro First Aid Crew ($19,931)
d) Emergency Management Operations Incident Management Software ($7,500)
e) Equipment Purchase for Cemetery Operations Dump Truck ($53,766)
f) Paving Lot Repair for 301 West Main Street ($6,000)

PROCLAMATION – YMCA DAY:

Consider congratulating the Waynesboro YMCA on their 60th Anniversary and naming Thursday, November 1, 2018 at YMCA Day in the City of Waynesboro, and presenting a proclamation to Executive Director Jeff Fife.

REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION – FINANCIAL POLICIES:

Receive a report and recommendation from Mr. Courtney Rogers, Senior Vice President Davenport & Co. LLC, regarding various financial policies.

ORDINANCE – OLD PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH CEMETERY FENCING:


Consider introducing an ordinance appropriating a portion of the Government Facilities Maintenance Reserve, in the amount of $3,429, to the General Fund, for fencing at the Old Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

7.

SCHOOL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCES:

a) Inclusive Practice Partnership Grant:  Appropriating an Inclusive Practice Partnership Grant, in the amount of $3,000 to the School Funds to be used for salary stipends for Wenonah Elementary School.

b) Title IV Part A Student Support and Academic Enrichment Grant:  Appropriating a Title IV Part A Student Support and Academic Enrichment Grant, in the amount of $17,000, to the School Funds, for support staff stipends and staff development.

c) Workplace Readiness Skills for the Commonwealth Grant:  Appropriating a Workplace Readiness Skills for the Commonwealth Grant, in the amount of $5,955, to the School Funds, to be used for purchased services.
