The following streets will be closed for the annual 2017 Blue Ridge Classic Soap Box Derby 4:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday, May 6:

• West Main Street from Maple Avenue to the river bridge
• Arch Avenue from Federal Street to Lumos Plaza.
• Wayne Avenue from Federal Street to Lumos Plaza.
• McElroy Street at West Main Street
• Church Street from Federal Street to Lumos Plaza

There will be no street parking in these areas as well.

All downtown businesses will be open and people are asked to use Federal St and Lumos Plaza to access the businesses and parking lots. Parking lots will be open, just closed on the Main St side.
