[ARCHIVED] Earth Day Inspired Stream Clean Up!

Would you like to partner up with Public Works for Stream Clean Up Stewardship?

A spring clean-up of selected hotspots within the city is in the works and is in need of happy, helping hands! This will be a fun way to make a difference in your com-munity and help us meet stormwater requirements.

When will the Clean Up be held?

Depending on interest, the clean up will be held either Friday, April 23, 2021 or Saturday, April 24, 2021.

How do I volunteer?

Please contact Public Works Stormwater Division at (540) 942-6624 Option #3 or email for general questions and to sign-up for this city/community partnership. 

Do I need to bring anything?

Yes. Please bring Groups of 10 - 15 volunteer for 1/2 day of clean up.

What is provided?

The city will provide trash bags, gloves, water, trash pick up and public recognition for your organization or business.

What areas are being cleaned up?

Along the Greenway downtown and at various connecting streams.
