[ARCHIVED] Driver Crashes Into Dominos

Dominos Crash

Waynesboro Police have charged an Augusta County man with Reckless Driving after he lost control of his 2013 Ford Taurus and drove through the front of Dominos Pizza, located at 105 Lew Dewitt Blvd. The incident caused extensive damage to the store as well as the vehicle which had penetrated the building to the food preparation area.

Both the driver and the manager of the business sustained minor injuries in the private property accident but neither were transported to the hospital from the scene.

The investigation indicates that the driver was approaching the front of the store to pick up a previously ordered pizza when he depressed the gas pedal instead of the brake causing the vehicle to accelerate rapidly into the front of the store.

Carlton E. Foley, 80, of Augusta County is charged with Reckless Driving on Parking Lots etc., in violation of 46.2-864 of the Code of Virginia.
