Art and Care

This is a group for family caregivers to enjoy simple art creation while conversing with other caregivers. This is a great chance to connect with others and to learn crafts that are easy to replicate at home with your loved ones. Offered in partnership with VPAS.

Greetings, adventurer! Join us in playing the popular tabletop roleplaying game, Dungeons & Dragons (5e)! We will go play through a new story each week. Come to one or both sessions. No experience necessary, all materials provided, registration required for each week you wish to attend. Ages 12+.

Street Arts Walking Tour

Join this 2-mile guided walk through downtown Waynesboro to highlight some of the local Street Art Murals. We met in the library lobby. After the walk, grab lunch at one of our delicious local restaurants! Registration required.

Memory Partners

This is a safe space for caregivers and people living with dementia to attend together, hosted at Rosenwald Community Center. We will have Tai Chi for Memory, an activity, and social time.

Ghosts of Staunton Talk

Join us this October for Paranormal Adventures as ghost tour guides and paranormal investigators from Black Raven Paranormal and the Ghosts of Staunton Ghost Tours will share some of their ghostly experiences and encounters from their tours and investigations in the field. Audio and photographic evidence will be shared and discussed as well as live demonstrations with various pieces of investigative equipment.

Dragons In Literature

Explore the amazing number of Dragons found in Books and Stories! Leftenant Blackwolf, Professor Wild Ridge, and Celyn the Red Dragon will read an original storybook written by Leftenant Blackwolf as well as highlight the importance and purpose of some of your favorite literary Dragons. All ages. Registration required.

Craft Club

Library Mascot Design Lab

Calling all kid artists! WPL needs a library mascot, and we need your help to design it. Submit your best creature drawing to our Library Mascot Contest, and the winning design will be turned into a custom plushie from Budsies.

Join us at the Library Mascot Design Lab to get started on your design. If you can't make it to the Design Lab, or need more time, don't worry! Entry forms can be picked up at the children's desk starting Monday, October 23, and can be turned in until November 30. All entries will be on display in our display case during November and December.

A winner will be chosen in the new year, and will receive a plushie made from their winning design. (We'll have one made for ourselves, too!) Ages 2-12.

Silent Disco

Enjoy a night of dancing with your friends and family hosted at Rosenwald Community Center! Three different music stations will be broadcasted through headphones. You control your volume and channel. Pizza and snacks provided. Brought to you in partnership by Waynesboro Public Library and Parks and Recreation!

Paranormal Open Mic Night
