[ARCHIVED] Cigarette Thief on the Loose

7-11 suspect

The Waynesboro Police Department is requesting assistance from the community to help identify a petty thief who has stolen cigarettes from two Waynesboro stores in the span of two days. On October 10 at approximately 7:00 PM, the suspect described as a W/M in his late 30’s to early 40’s stole a pack of cigarettes from the 7-11, 1103 Ivy Street. On October 12, a man fitting the same description stole three packs of cigarettes from Family Dollar, 1300 West Broad Street, at approximately 6:30 PM.

The suspect is further described:

Approx. 6’2”
Approx. 250 lbs.
Tattoo on left forearm visible in attached surveillance pics from 7-11 incident.

If anyone has information as to the identity of this individual, please call the Waynesboro Police Department at (540) 942-6675 to speak with Officer Alison Willis or call Central Shenandoah Crime Stoppers at (800) 322-2017. Anyone who gives information that leads to an arrest of the offender can receive a cash reward.
