The Waynesboro Police Department arrested three individuals on felony drug charges last night in its latest effort to eradicate drugs near Waynesboro schools. Members of the Department’s Special Operations Division executed a search warrant at an apartment at 1019 Albemarle Avenue which is in close proximity to Berkeley Glenn Elementary School. Police arrested James Everett Ferguson, 52 years old, and Lisa Marie Ailstock, 41 years old, both of the residence on Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute. Police also arrested Carlene Nicole Carter, 35 years old of Staunton, for Possession of Methamphetamine.
All three arrestees are being held at Middle River Regional Jail.
This is the second drug raid at this apartment building in a week. On October 21, members of the SWAT Team and Special Operations Division raided another apartment and found cash and marijuana. Larry Wayne White, 24 years old, is still at large. He is wanted on one charge of Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute.
The Department began focusing on this area of Albemarle Avenue after a September 18th home invasion robbery by three armed subjects. That incident led to the lockdown of Berkeley Glenn Elementary School as police scoured the area for the suspects. Four individuals were later arrested in connection to that incident.
