[ARCHIVED] No Charges in Tuesday's Truck Accident

Update:

The family of Sandra Maglaris has established a gofundme account to help the family deal with medical bills and living arrangements as she remains in critical condition at UVA Medical Center. Mrs. Maglaris, 49 years old of Lenox, Georgia, sustained a serious head injury when she fell out of a 2007 Freightliner truck that was driven by her husband, Roger Maglaris, on December 15, 2015. Mr. Maglaris and other family members have stayed by Sandra’s side at UVA Medical Center. The gofundme page has a goal of $5000 to be raised for the family.

The Waynesboro Police Department and the Waynesboro Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office is hoping for support from the community to assist Sandra’s family during this incredibly difficult time as she continues to fight for her life.

The Waynesboro Police Department has concluded the investigation into the accident that severely injured a 49 year old woman from Lenox, Georgia. The accident occurred at 11:05 AM on December 15, 2015 on the I-64 eastbound on-ramp at the Rosser Avenue exit (e 94). Investigators have concluded that no charges will be placed against the victim’s 46 year old husband who was driving the 2007 Freightliner truck when the victim fell out of the passenger side door and was run over. She was dragged about 15 feet by the vehicle. The victim remains in critical condition at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
