February 5, 2016

The Waynesboro Police Department is requesting assistance from the community to help identify a repeat shoplifter whom police believe has stolen hundreds of dollars in shoes from a city department store. A surveillance camera captured an image of the assailant on January 16, 2016. On that date, the suspect described as a W/M, entered Kohl’s, 841 Town Center Drive, with thievery on his mind. He went to the shoe section of the store and took a pair of $20 Adidas sandals. He put the sandals in his pants and left the store without paying. Kohl’s assets protection staff believes the suspect is involved in several thefts of footwear from the store in recent months.

The suspect is further described:

Heavyset
Receding hairline
Mustache
Possibly Latino

A still image of the suspect is attached.
