The Grow Waynesboro Main & Wayne small business grant “pitch night” will be held April 17 at 6pm.  A downtown location will be finalized in January.

For those not familiar, the City received a Community Business Launch (CBL) grant from the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) to provide free training for any interested party and start up grants for those opening a store front business in the historic district no later than September 30, 2023.  The eight week free training class starts on January 30 and culminates on pitch night; qualified  entrepreneurs make a live “pitch” to the audience and an independent panel of judges.  The judges will award $48,000 to three businesses.

Previous pitch nights have been an enjoyable, refreshing, exciting evening with 75-100 in attendance.
