  1. City Council Meeting

    The City Council of Waynesboro has heard from many concerned citizens regarding pre-filed gun control related legislation for the upcoming Virginia General Assembly Session. Due to the amount of interest on this topic, in addition to the regular business meeting, Council will hold a special hearing on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at Kate Collins Middle School, located at 1625 Ivy Street in Waynesboro. Citizens who wish to speak at the meeting are encouraged to sign up in advance using an online form located at https://www.waynesboro.va.us/1023/Special-Hearing-Sign-Up. A signup sheet for speakers will also be available at the door.

  4. Great Decisions Discussion Group

    January 13, 2020, 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM

    Learn about the most critical global issues facing American today. Participants read 12-16 page articles in the Great Decisions Briefing Book (available in the library or purchase your own copy) which provides background information, expert analysis, and suggested discussion questions on topics such as global health, Russia’s policies, military engagement, or China & America. Then, meet with others to discuss. This program is part of America’s largest discussion program on world affairs, sponsored by the Foreign Policy Association. If you enjoy the Great Decisions on PBS, this is the group for you!
