    2023 Resource Calendar Page

    The Resource Calendar helps alert you to altered refuse collection schedules, changes in Bulk Services starting March 2023, special stewardship opportunities or events, and helps you easily locate Public Works contact numbers. Please scan the QR codes to sign up for text and/or email alerts about services that will come directly to your phone or computer and to link you to our Facebook Page for the latest updates about our services.


    Will the Resource Calendar be mailed so I can have a hardcopy?

    Yes. All utility customers who receive a local water bill will receive a  hardcopy in the mail right after Christmas 2022.


    What if I don't receive one?

    You can request a calendar by calling our Utility Customer Services number at (540) 942-6643, Option 4 OR by emailing [email protected]

    Where are the Leaf Collection Crews?

    Crews completed collection in Zone 1 on 11/29/23. Collection in Zone 2 will now begin.

    Scheduled Collection by Zone began Monday, November 27, 2023. Residents is Zones 1 -  9 should have their leaves raked to the edge of their property, but stopping short of the street, prior to Monday to ensure collection. The speed and efficiency of leaf collection will be dependent on weather conditions and available staffing. Wet, soggy or frozen leaves can slow down the effectiveness of the leaf collection equipment.

    The The Leaf Map Link will help you track the progress of the collection crews. You can also call our pre-recorded Hotline at (540) 932-8240 for an update. Thank you to all residents for their help keeping the leaves out of the streets, storm drains and the South River.
